The photographer was Yoji Yokoi, a performing arts photographer who is active in the Tokyo Kawara version.We scrutinized the huge number of films that we have been shooting for nearly half a century, and carefully select the decisive moment.Includes 130 cuts of 95 nostalgic entertainers (groups), which are no longer fulfilled to meet, including the lectures, songs, and colored items.The third generation of the vocal cords, Edo Family Cathachi, the “Congratulations!” Somenosuke / Sometaro, the Casey Takamine of the medical work, and other entertainers who are familiar with TV meet together.It is the start of the performance.
The daikaki is written by Master Yanagi -tei, a chairman of the rakugo association, the winner of the fifth generation Kojo -san’s humorous story.The words full of love for rakugo and voting make the photos shine.
All prints are monochrome double tone printing.The plate is made from the film original plate as much as possible, and the feel of the film and the feeling of air are reproduced.This is the definitive version of the performing art photo book that covers the Heisei and Ordinance.

[Recommended information from editing] Yokoi was born in 1938.I still have a series in the performing arts magazine “Tokyo Kawara Version” in my mid -80s, and continue to take pictures of Koza.It was early summer of 2021 that the “Tokyo Kawara version” editorial department talked about a photo book that would be the culmination of Yokoi’s work.
From a huge number of photos taken for nearly half a century, the policy was to record only for the deceased, and in September, we chose photos and decided the overall composition.The news of the death of Kosanji, Master Kawayanagi, and Enjo who jumped there.
All three are the teachers who have interviewed not only Koza but also interviewed directly.Along with the sadness, I felt that I had to engrave Koza in this photo book.Yokoi’s thoughts are the same.We reviewed the huge number of films again, and looked for famous scenes such as “Reaper”, “Kusoku no Nail”, “Garcon”, and “Haruka Tanuki Udon”.
It is sad that this photo book, which is limited to the deceased, must include Shin -Goshi, Kita Hachishi, and Namikoku’s Takeshi Kunimoto, but the life of a person is indefinite.It does not always die in order of age.I hope this photo book will be at least a memorial service.
I asked the Rakugo Association Chairman of the Rakugo Association, Ryei -tei, a master master.Ichima’s teacher also looked at this photo book and seemed to remember his undercard era.

Performing arts photographer.Born in Asakusa, Tokyo in 1945.He has been familiar with performing arts in Asakusa and Ueno since childhood.After leaving Chuo University, he became a free photographer via Hagimoto Photo Studio.He is active in the Mainichi Shimbun, Yomiuri Shimbun, Tokyo Kawara version, etc., mainly for shooting popular performing arts.Japan Photographer Association Meeting (this data was published at the time this book was published)
