In 2017, Akihiro Yasuda suffered a brain tumor and had surgery.
My consciousness has changed drastically by being conscious of death,
I want to convey this experience in shape.

“I want you to know the wonderfulness of living and the courage to overcome difficulties.
Life reverses, including not only living, dying, but also involved with people.
I wanted to express it through the photos. ”

The shooting is Atsushi Okada, who won the Kimura Ihei Prize, called the “Akutagawa Prize in the Photography World”.
The plan was realized with Yasuda’s offer, which was a fan for some time.

We perform location in Nemuro in Hokkaido, which is extremely cold.
